Malmsey Batic (Malvasia) is the result of a history of over 4 centuries.
The first Batič wines originated in the 16th century and were modeled by the expert hands of the Batič monks in Šempas. Since then the estate has changed considerably: the paintings on the walls have faded, the names of the monks have been forgotten.
The only remaining legacy of the once proud monks is the knowledge and tradition of high quality wine production that has been handed down from generation to generation for over four hundred years.
Today Ivan and Mhia Batic pursue the utmost communion with nature and we could say that they have gone beyond biodynamics, thanks also to the PCS (Physical Cropping System) which, by spraying hot air at 70 ° C and 150 km / h on the vineyards, eliminates parasites. and strengthens the immune system of the vine, also eliminating the need for use
of copper and sulfur.
Batic Malvasia Istriana has a pale yellow color, fruity and fragrant on the nose. Persistent in the mouth with a pleasantly flattering finish that makes you want to finish the bottle.
Perfect with fish, pizza, but also with white meats, it is a truly surprising wine.
